Meet Your Hosts at Campbell's Lodge

Campbell’s Lodge is owned and operated by Carol and Joe Campbell who purchased the resort in 1996.  The resort has been in operation since the 1940's and was formerly known as the Empty Bar Resort.  Carol and Joe changed the name of the resort to Campbell’s Lodge in 2001.

In 1996 Carol and Joe both left management careers to pursue their new vocation of resort ownership.  They have been married for 17 years and have three children ages 7, 8, and 10.  They all love the outdoors!  In the summer, the kids think it is great to have new friends each week to swim and play with.  In the winter sledding, ice fishing, riding the snowmobile, and playing in their snow fort (in the woods) occupy the kids' outside time.  The Campbell's feel truly blessed to have three beautiful children, to live in such a beautiful part of the country, and to have so many great friends because of the resort business.

As they anxiously await the beginning of their 13^th season the Campbell's goal continues to be creating a "family friendly" atmosphere.  In the twelve years they have owned Campbell's Lodge that goal has become a reality through extensive renovations throughout the resort. They strive to constantly improve accommodations and services to meet the needs of their guests. 

Remember the great times you had as a kid at a resort?  Is a resort vacation something you would like to introduce to your own family?  Why not begin a new family tradition in 2008 and introduce your kids to the "resort experience."  The Campbell family would love the opportunity to turn that experience into a great memory.  They strive to have something for everyone.  Joe’s motto is “If the kids are happy, Mom is happy, and if Mom is happy...everyone’s happy!”

Our resort is geared toward a great family experience, but we also have many father/son groups, guy groups, and retired folks who enjoy what we have to offer.  The resort has hosted guests from all over the United States and such places such as Europe, China and Australia.  The Campbell's invite you to join their extended family as you spend your vacation days with them.
